A unique consultancy
Sustainable solutions for Asian businesses

With offices in Beijing, HK, Kuala Lumpur, Shenzhen and Singapore as well as partnerships in Vietnam, CSR Asia is a social enterprise with an extensive network in Asia whose aim is build awareness and capacity of corporate social responsibility (CSR) within Asia. The organization provides information, training, research and consultancy services on sustainable business practices across the Asia Pacific region.

As a unique business that stands the middle ground between a civil society group and a consultancy business, CSR Asia reinvests its surpluses into the business or into the community rather than maximizing profit for shareholders. It is sustained through funding from strategic partners, training and conferences, advisory services and advertising.

This social enterprise, founded in 2004 in Hong Kong, engages with companies and their stakeholders to help promote CSR practices. As transparency and accountancy are increasingly becoming regulatory requirements, reporting and communication services are also provided. Additionally, CSR Asia conducts research for NGOs, intergovernmental agencies and companies.

Training is a key component of CSR Asia’s operations; courses range from beginner to advanced business strategies for CSR, climate change, reporting and communication as well as diversity and inclusion training. Other services offered are greenhouse gas emissions inventories, environmental impact and risk benchmarking, as well as assessments for community investments.

Each year, CSR Asia organizes an Asia-wide conference on CSR, the CSR Asia Summit. Each conference features expert speakers and workshops on relevant CSR topics, such as (in 2010) community investment, carbon emissions accounting, water risks, human rights, disaster preparedness, and much more. The 2011 Summit will be held in Kuala Lumpur.
