Cancer Fund’s Soberman Campaign

The Hong Kong Cancer Fund is launching its alcohol free fundraising campaign in January 2017. This is the second year that the challenge has been held and this year it’s in January, a popular time for people to review their health and lifestyles and make a change for the better.

All monies raised will go towards the free services and programmes that The Hong Kong Cancer Fund offer to anyone touched by cancer. ‘This year we also have designed a Soberwoman to inspire all participants to get involved, said Cancer Fund CEO and Founder Sally Lo.

Participants can sign up online to join, either by scanning the QR code on the promotional posters and adverts or via The Hong Kong Cancer Fund website. On the sign up page, participants set a fundraising target and are encouraged to ask friends and family to sponsor them. Those who are unable to go completely alcohol-free, either due to a special event or anniversary, can simply donate HK$100 as a ‘liquor levy’. On sign up, each participant will receive a welcome pack and a discount from nood on their juice cleanse.

As an added incentive for participants, there are some amazing prizes to be won for the top three fundraisers. The person raising the most amount of money will receive a 3-night stay at a luxury villa in Phuket and the runner-up will win a stay for two at the Hotel ICON. The third-highest fundraiser will receive a stay for 2 at the JW Marriott Macau. Other prizes include a Conrad HK Dining Voucher and a dinner buffet at the Renaissance Hotel.

Sign up for the campaign is open during the month of December with the challenge taking place from 1st to 31st January 2017.

The Hong Kong Cancer Fund promotes healthy lifestyles and the consumption of alcohol and other unhealthy food in moderation. We strongly recommend that everyone adhere to the government guidelines regarding all health, nutrition and exercise choices.
