To celebrate the upcoming new and nearly new Redress PopUp Shop, Christina Dean shares her daily essentials. Christina is generously donating all clothing and accessories to the sale, some of the brands include Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Marni, Vanessa Bruno and DKNY; plus an incredible range of designer shoes and bags, from Jimmy Choo, Prada to Tory Burch. Fabulous!
All proceeds go to Hong Kong charity Redress to further their work to reduce waste in the fashion industry.
I’m facing up to my age, and my new wrinkles, so am starting to take some basic care of my skin. I love the Swiss brand Arbonne, since it’s based on botanical principles.
I use Ecco Store because I don’t want to slather chemicals all over myself, and this brand produces plant-based, SLS-free, paraben-free hair care products.
UPCYCLED CLOTHES & ACCESSORIES
Pre-loved, upcycled clothing is a wonderful way to be unique, economical, and eco-friendly! Give an old item new life by sprucing it up, and create a whole new look for yourself. There are plenty of clothes swaps around town where you can really find some real treasures.
MATT AND NAT HANDBAG
This messenger bag is the perfect sized clutch for dashing around all day. It’s vegan leather (hard to believe it’s not actual leather!) and is also made with cork and recycled polyester. The products from eco-friendly, vegetarian and nature-inspired Canadian brand MAT(T)ERIAL and NATURE are always fab and fashion-forward.
I bring my lunch every day and eat ‘Al desko’ to save time schlepping to the shops, and to save loads of awful packaging.
I work the old fashioned way with to-do lists, and always carry around inspiring notebooks so I can jot down messages and such. I also regularly dip into Overdressed: the shockingly high cost of cheap fashion by Elizabeth Cline whenever I need a reminder of why I do what I do.
It always feels better knowing there are fewer nasty chemicals next to your skin, so I use all-organic, alcohol-free brand Laverna for my underarm needs.
