The Pottinger luxury heritage hotel opens Italian restaurant

Housed at the beautifully designed luxury heritage hotel, The Pottinger, located on Hong Kong’s Pottinger street, Gradini brings hearty Italian flavours to the city’s dining scene in an elegant and intimate setting.  Led by celebrated Italian chef, Giovanni Greggio, who hails from Verona, the restaurant features dishes with the freshest ingredients and created from time-honoured recipes.
Signature dishes include Grilled Mediterranean Octopus with Citrus Salad on a bed of hand-picked spinach leaves.  The octopus is chewy and soft and very appetizing with the sourness from the citrus orange and fresh lemon juice of the fresh spinach leaves.  Seafood lovers will enjoy the meaty Baked Maine Lobster that comes with a yummy lemon butter or sea urchin cream sauce.  Excellent vegetarian options are available, including the Buffalo Milk Mozzarella with Ripe Tomato in vine and fresh basil, Foamed Porcini Mushroom Cappuccino with dust, as well as Homemade Ravioli filled with Smoked Eggplant, Ricotta and Sundried Tomato Coulis.  Dessert lovers will enjoy the Classic Tiramisu with layers of savioiardi biscuit flavour with aramotto topped with mascarpone cream and cacao.  Served in a cute glass cup, the tiramisu is moist and creamy but not too heavy, so perfect as a light dessert after a delicious meal.  Better yet, pair it with a nice cup of organic Pukka Lemongrass & Ginger tea.
Gradini is located at: G/F, 74 Queens Road, Central, Hong Kong.  Tel: + 852-2308-3088. For more information, visit:
