This Valentine's Day, we've rounded up some activities in Hong Kong for you to mark the occasion that celebrates love, while limiting your environmental impact.
Gift an event as an alternative to purchasing material goods. The most unique event we came across is a Young Master brewery tour, a fun day out for two on February 11.
There's nothing like getting to nature to have a restful and connected moment. Mui Wo to Sunny Bay is a nice four-hour scenic hike, or try Tsing Yi Nature Trail for a short hike with view of Lantau and the Tsing Ma bridge.
Nice and simple: rent bikes in Yuen Long and ride along to Nam Sang Wai for a beautiful picnic spot.
On a clear night, if you head to Astropark in Sai Kung and grab a spot on the grass, you and your partner will be able to look up and see the North Star!
Handmade products will be on offer at the Discovery Bay Sunday Market on February 12, 11am-6pm. A good occasion for a stroll, and perhaps time to pick up a gift for your special someone, or yourself.
Moon Street Pop-Up
Another shopping option that's a bit different: All Day Shopper features an impressive selection of handicrafts and fashion items February 10-19 from 12-8pm at Ted's Lookout, 14 Moon Street, Wan Chai.
Sometimes the best choice is actually the obvious one, and for Valentine's Day, that'd certainly be going on a dinner date! Among all the offerings out there, Grassroots Pantry's caught our eye. It is all 90's nostalgia plus romance on Hollywood Road, with items such as "Butterfingers BBs" (organic peanut butter, coconut sugar, sprouted buckwheat & Raiz the Bar couverture).
Whatever you get up to, we hope you have a romantic Valentine's Day!
